I have found that email is still a poor substitute for the telephone.
So, I called New Zealand and learned that the frightening last minute email I received was basically there for me to do extra unnecessary work that the Insurance company would otherwise have to do. Given the situation, I opted for them to do the dirty work of contacting hospitals and doctors, rather than me trying to rush around on my last full day here.
Perhaps I may get the monies for my emergency flight sometime this month...I hope. |
